COMEDIAN DAVE CHAPPELLE PURCHASES DAYTON COMEDY CLUB

The company owned by legendary stand-up comedian Dave Chappelle has recently purchased a comedy club in the Oregon District of Dayton. The Primetime Emmy Award winner used his company, Iron Table Holdings LLC, to purchase the property for $2 million. Oregon District residents are excited to see how Chappelle will renovate the club. DAYTON DRAGONS BASEBALL TEAM TO HOLD CHARITY EVENT

The Dayton Dragons minor league baseball team is partnering with Ronald McDonald House Charities to host a charity event. The event will be held on August 5th, and the game starts at 7:05 p.m. Tickets will be sold for $14, with half of the proceeds being donated to Ronald McDonald House Charities. NATIONAL MUSEUM OF THE UNITED STATES AIR FORCE TO HOLD SPACE CELEBRATION

Beginning on July 29th, the National Museum of the United States Air Force will hold its Space Celebration event. The event is scheduled to conclude on August 7th. Entrance to the event is free, and will include exhibits such as open aircraft, displays of rare artifacts, appearances from popular fictional space characters, and much more. Learn more here.
DAYTON DEVELOPER TO EMBARK ON NEW CONSTRUCTION PROJECT

Oberer Realty Services Ltd., a developer in the Miami Township area, is planning to finish a retail development project that will hopefully lead to job growth. The project will be named “Shoppes at the Village of Cornerstone” and will cover roughly 10,000 square feet. The center hopes to offer tenants and patrons with an outdoor patio area providing a beautiful view of the lake. Check out the full story here.
DAYTON AIR SHOW ESTIMATED TO IMPACT LOCAL ECONOMY BY ROUGHLY $4 MILLION

The CenterPoint Dayton Air Show in the Vandalia area typically impacts the local economy by $3.7 million. This year, the show (which happened this past weekend) was projected to surpass $4 million in profits. More here.
