FALL CONCERTS ANNOUNCED FOR DAYTON MASONIC LIVE

Abbamania, Desire (a U2 tribute act), Purple Madness - a Tribute to Prince, Fleetwood Macked, and Satisfaction - a Tribute to the Rolling Stones are family-friendly shows that have been announced in the Fall concert series at the Dayton Masonic Live. “We’re really looking forward to hosting some amazing indoor concerts over the fall and winter as we continue to ramp up our programming every year at the beautiful and historic Dayton Masonic Center,” Brian Johnson, concert promoter said. BEAVERCREEK BAKERY MOVES LOCATIONS TO CENTERVILLE

Sweet new beginnings. After nearly half a decade in Beavercreek, RachelBakes & Co has closed and is moving to the Cross Pointe Shopping Center in Centerville. Bakery owner Rachel Owens told local news outlet Dayton.com that she needed more space. RachelBakes & Co is moving to the building that previously housed Fortis College at 101 E. Alex Bell Road. This weekend you and your family can take a step back to 65 million years ago and experience “the thrill of the prehistoric age” at the Dayton Convention Center for Dinosaur Adventure. DAYTON COLLEGES RECEIVE $1.5M OF NATIONAL STEM RESEARCH GRANT

U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) announced Wednesday that the National Science Foundation awarded five grants totaling $1.7 million. $1 million will go to the University of Dayton to fund research on the evolution of genetic traits. $25,000 will go to Wright State University to fund a workshop designed to address challenges and current events in healthcare.
