BLUE BERRY CAFE ANNOUNCES IT WILL NOW BE OPEN ON MONDAYS

Monday Yumday. The Blue Berry Cafe has announced that it will now collaborate with a local food truck to serve customers breakfast and lunch on Mondays. The popular Bellbrook eatery is partnering with the Smokin Bark BBQ and Catering company, owned by Denny Atkins. The two food establishments will work together to provide customers with a lunch and dinner special. Full story here.
DAYTON ART INSTITUTE OPENS NEW INNOVATIVE EXHIBIT

Cultural icons. The Dayton Art Institute has opened a new exhibit that shows an interesting perspective on the artistic process. The exhibit is called “Art for the Ages: Conversation at DAI”. The exhibit showcases a wide variety of paintings and sculptures from countries in Asia, Africa, and North America. Some of the artworks featured are thousands of years old. LOCAL HIGH SCHOOLS PARTICIPATE IN SOCIAL JUSTICE-THEMED FOOTBALL EVENT

Clear eyes, full hearts, can't lose. The Miami Valley Football Coaches Association held their second annual Social Justice 7 on 7 Football game this past Tuesday. Forty teams participated in the event. Among some of the schools that participated were Oakwood High School, Urbana High School, and Meadowdale High School. Learn more here.
ALTER HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE TO PREMIERE TV SHOW FOR PARAMOUNT+

Big flex! Stephen Scaia, a graduate of Alter High School, is the co-creator and producer of adventure series Blood and Treasure. After premiering on CBS in 2019 for its first season, the program is now moving to the Paramount+. Scaia is a native of Centerville, and his resume in the television industry includes roles as a production assistant on NBC’s The West Wing and as a writer and producer on CBS’s Jericho.
