FOOD HALL TO OPEN IN DAYTON AREA

Dinner's ready! The Historic Wright and Dunbar District will see the opening of the first-ever food hall development in the Dayton area. The food hall, named the West Social Tap and Table, opened on July 25th at 7 a.m. This development is the first in a planned series of projects with the goal of advancing local business opportunities. Get checked out. The Dayton Metro Library and Premier Community Health have announced that they are teaming up to administer free health screenings for the community. The screenings will be available on the fourth Tuesday of the months of July, August, and September. Free health education will also be provided at some screenings. More here.
DOWNTOWN FAIRBORN TO HOLD BLUEGRASS MUSIC FESTIVAL

Strummin' on the old banjo. The fourth annual Bluegrass and Brews festival will be returning to the downtown Fairborn area. The festival will be held Friday, August 5th from 4:00 p.m. to 10 p.m. Three bluegrass bands will be performing. Check out the full story here.
MONTGOMERY county TOURISM INDUSTRY SEES SIGNIFICANT BOOST IN REVENUE

A welcoming fact. A recent study published by Tourism Economics has revealed that visitors to the Montgomery County area contributed to the area’s tourism industry generating $1.4 billion in 2021. This is a huge boost from 2020, which saw slower sales due to the pandemic. Dayton’s Convention and Visitors Bureau President and CEO Jacquelyn Powell states that she is hopeful 2022 will see similar sales. Learn more here.

Tell me more, tell me more. Maulin Patel, owner of The Twist Indian Grill says his restaurant "is not the typical Indian restaurant." Expected to open in August on S. Smithville Road, Twist Indian Grill is a fast-casual establishment where customers can "create their own bowls and burritos" made with Indian food instead. Get the full story here.
