Looking good in the neighborhood. This summer the streets of Downtown Dayton are getting an artful facelift. ArtWraps, a project by The Downtown Dayton Partnership, The Contemporary Dayton, and the City of Dayton, gives local artists an opportunity to compete for commission and display their work. The first phase of the project will include vinyl wrap installs onto utility boxes. More here.
CHICAGO-BASED MEDICAL MARIJUANA COMPANY EXPANDS TO YELLOW SPRINGS

Major growth spurt. A medical marijuana company, Cresco Labs, out of Chicago is investing $48 million in Yellow Springs as part of its growing facilities expansion. According to Josue Salmeron, the village manager, this will also bring income tax revenue for the municipality and diversify the local economy, along with significant employment opportunities for the area.
