The 2007 musical, based on the novel “Legally Blonde” by Amanda Brown, was made into a 2001 film starring Reese Witherspoon. The show runs from Tuesday, Nov. 22 through Sunday, Nov. 27 at the Schuster Center. More information here.
CINCINNATI CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL OPENING MEDICAL BUILDING IN CENTERVILLE

This will be the first time Cincinnati Children’s Hospital will own and operate a facility in Montgomery County. The hospital has purchased an existing building, located in the 6500 block of Clyo Road with access to Interstate 675, Ohio State Route 48 and Wilmington Pike, and is renovating it with a goal of beginning care there in early 2023. The building, which will be called Cincinnati Children’s Centerville, will bring subspecialty care closer to those residents. Original story here.
fuyao glass america aims for huge local expansion

The Chinese-based automotive glass manufacturer is looking to expand its Moraine facility at 800 Fuyao Ave. A request for $750,000 was made through an application submitted to Montgomery County for an Economic Development/Government Equity (ED/GE) Grant earlier this month. The project would enable a 600,000-square-foot expansion that will bring 500 new jobs to the region. More here.

For the 25th year, six women have been named to the YWCA Dayton’s 2023 Women of Influence class. “Since 1998, the Women of Influence Awards have recognized and honored over 180 influential women in the Dayton area. The honorees support the YWCA mission of empowering women, eliminating racism, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.” The 2023 class includes: Melodie Bennett – Executive Director, House of Bread, Marvene Mitchell Cook – Director of CARES Act and Workforce Development, Montgomery County, Joanne “Jo” Granzow – Community Volunteer, Michelle Kaye – Vice President and Client and Community Relations Director, PNC Bank, Carol Prewitt – President, Prewitt Consulting LLC, and Carolyn Rice – President, Montgomery County Commission. RED ROBIN RESTAURANT LOOKING TO OPEN NEW LOCATION NEAR DAYTON MALL

According to the Ohio Division of Liquor Control, Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Brews applied for a liquor permit on at 2148 Miamisburg-Centerville Road in Miami Twp. which is the space where Logan’s Roadhouse used to be located and, according to a spokesperson for that chain in 2010, seats 237 people. Founded in 1969, Red Robin serves a variety of appetizers, salads, burgers, chicken sandwiches, other entrees, shakes and desserts. More here.
