FIRST SOUP FESTIVAL COMES TO DAYTON

The “first-ever” Dayton Soup Fest will take place at the Yellow Cab Tavern on Saturday, Nov. 26 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Presented by The Pizza Bandit, Kungfu BBQ and The Forking Pierogi, the festival will feature vendors serving a variety of soups, soup-themed dishes and more. Columbus-based developer, Windsor Companies, has plans to make the 120-year-old Midwest Tool building at the corner of Second and Webster streets in Dayton's Webster Station into a new, mixed-use building that would include about 63 apartments. The first floor would be for commercial space and span 15,000 square feet “and hopefully be partially occupied by a grocer” which the developer says would “compliment the Second Street Market.” Learn more here.
wahlburgers coming to hollywood gaming

The first Wahlburgers in the Dayton area is coming to Hollywood Gaming at Dayton Raceway. First opened in 2011 in Hingham, Massachusetts by Paul Wahlberg, the restaurant is known for its famous burgers and house-made shakes. In addition to Columbus, Wahlburgers has two other Ohio locations in Cincinnati and Cleveland. Original story here.
NEW RIDES, THEME AREA COMING TO KINGS ISLAND

Last week Kings Island announced a new themed area coming to the amusement park in 2023, which will include the addition of two rides and enhancements made to one of its roller coasters. The new area, dubbed Adventure Port, “is themed after the age of exploration and its mythos includes the search for an ancient civilization with a mighty city carved from stone.” Check out the full story here.
MAC AND CHEESE FLIGHTS NOW SERVED AT WEST CHESTER BREWERY

MamaBear's Mac opened at Grainworks Brewing Company this past weekend. Originally started as a food truck, the restaurant will be serving up macaroni and cheese flights with flavors such as Vermont Cheddar Mac, Loaded Baked Potato Mac, Smokey Bear Mac and Buffalo Chicken Mac. More here.
