OHIO RENAISSANCE FEST KICKS OFF in warren county

The Renaissance Festival is open to people of all ages and is open from 10:30 am to 7 pm from now until October 30th in Warren County. David Smith, Head of Entertainment, shared that this year there are new performances, characters, and 15 stages where various shows are performed. New acts include The Wheel of Death and a new juggling group called The Daring Blade that does everything on a tightrope. Learn more here.
FRENCH-INSPIRED CRÊPE SHOP NOW OPEN IN TROY

Located at 79 Foss Way in Troy is Oh Crêpe, “a business J.D. Winteregg wanted to start for roughly 20 years after studying and teaching in France.” The shop features sweet crêpes, pastries, coffee, and gelato. It also partners with other local businesses including Purebred Coffee and Farmhouse Bakery. This fall, Winteregg plans to expand the menu to include savory crêpes and baguette sandwiches. NEW ART EXHIBIT AT DAYTON METRO LIBRARY PROMOTES HOPE AND POSITIVE THINKING

To honor the lives lost since the mass shooting in the Oregon District 3 years ago, and to promote hope and positive thinking, the Dayton Metro Library opened a new interactive art exhibit on Thursday. The Tree of Life Memorial is a work of art put together by 9 artists back in 2020 and is composed of 9 unique pieces of art meant to represent each artist's interpretation of honoring those killed. To add to the exhibit, people can now come in and color a butterfly to add to it. Learn more here.
1ST MIAMI VALLEY CRAFT BEER WEEK TO LAUNCH THIS MONTH

The Miami Valley Craft Beer Week has been a long time coming according to Brett Smith, Co-Founder and Head Brewer of Branch & Bone Artisan Ales. With over 30 breweries participating, Miami Valley Craft Beer Week kicks off September 10th with the release of the local “So Original IPA” at participating taprooms and will end on September 17th at the 7th Annual “BEER!, A Celebration of Dayton Brewing” ticketed event taking place at Yellow Cab Tavern. DAYTON LAW FIRM UNDERGOING LARGE MERGER

Taft Law, one the largest law firms operating in the Dayton region, will merge with Michigan-based law firm Jaffe Raitt Heuer & Weiss, P.C., effective Dec. 31. With the addition of Jaffe, Taft will comprise more than 800 attorneys in eight primary Midwest markets and the District of Columbia.
