pizzeria arcade to launch in downtown tipp city

Let the games begin. Dayton developers, Brad Doudican and Charlie Carroll, recently pitched an idea to open a pizzeria-arcade eating establishment to the Tipp City Council. Doudican and Carroll hope to renovate an old building in downtown Tipp City in order to bring the project to fruition. According to Carroll, the first level of the establishment would be a restaurant featuring pan-style pizzas, sub, and salads while the upper-level would be an arcade complete with games, bowling, and more. DOCUMENTARY ON DAYTON'S NFL HISTORY TO RESUME SHOOTING

Timeout for a history lesson. Did you know that the first game in what would become the National Football League was played right here in Dayton, Ohio? Allen Farst, a Dayton filmmaker, is creating a documentary called “Triangle Park,” which will commemorate that historical first game played between the Dayton Triangles and the Columbus Panhandles. Now that Farst has secured the necessary sponsors, he is hoping to resume filming in March. Full story here.
two local companies team up to make a difference in youth mental health

Positive vibes only. Caresource, an insurance company based in Dayton, has invested in Positiv.ly, a mental health support app created by Dayton-based company Ascend Innovations. Positiv.ly is an app that teenagers can use to help locate mental health resources and share their stories. Students from local school districts such as Beavercreek and Kettering have already begun using the app. Check out the full story here.

The stars have arrived. Five Dayton artists received monetary Individual Excellence Awards from the Ohio Arts Council. Donna S.
